A Dramatic Ceremony at First Congregational Church of Los Angeles

Sarah & James exchanged vows in the breathtaking sanctuary of First Congregational Church, a historic cathedral-style venue with soaring arches and Gothic details. To set the mood, the space was bathed in hues of purple and fuchsia, creating a dramatic and ultra-romantic ambiance. The ceremony felt like something straight out of a dream—and with Sarah and James’ infectious energy, the atmosphere was filled with love and joy.

A Red Carpet Reception at The MacArthur

Guests were treated to a surprise red carpet arrival at The MacArthur, complete with personal “wedding paparazzi.” Inside the grand ballroom, the reception design was nothing short of spectacular. A mix of round and rectangular tables dazzled with alternating sapphire blue damask linens and luxurious teal velvet linens. Gold-rimmed chargers, mercury glass votives, vintage crystal goblets, and classic chiavari chairs completed the glamorous look.

Florals in bold jewel tones with flowing greenery brought the tablescapes to life, while the sweetheart table stole the spotlight with a shimmering gold linen and a vintage scarlet red settee. The overall design perfectly highlighted the ballroom’s historic architecture—wood-beamed ceilings, elegant columns, and wrought iron chandeliers.

Entertainment & Magical Surprises

Sarah & James made sure their wedding was just as entertaining as it was beautiful. Guests were wowed with a live magician performance—complete with audience participation from the groom himself! The couple also surprised everyone with a piano-and-violin duet, showcasing their musical talents in the most heartwarming way.

Their favors were equally thoughtful and fun: custom playing card decks featuring Sarah as the queen and James as the king—an adorable nod to their Magic Castle love story.
